Aprilia officially released the Tuono 660. Simply put, it is a naked bike version of the RS 660, which was released last year.
Design
Aprilia labeled the Tuono 660 a naked motorbike, but it doesn’t look like a naked bike in general. The concept is more like a half-fairing with a tinier windshield to match the sleek fairing.
On the side, Aprilia gives a little trim fairing to make it appear more sporty and aggressive. The Tuono semi-fairing uses the same dual fairing system as the RS, acting as an aerodynamic addition and allowing for optimal airflow.
In addition, it is able to push engine heat away from the rider and creates downforce.
Powertrain and Features
The Aprilia Tuono 660 carries a 660 cc, DOHC, two-cylinder inline liquid-cooled engine that is obliged with Euro 5 standards. The stats are clocked at 94 hp that is an optimal and attractive power-to-weight ratio.
The features on the Tuono 660 are pretty complete. All lighting sectors have LED technology, complete with DRL on the front.
It adopts high-end electronic devices, Ride-by-Wire throttle, five driving modes (three for road, two for circuit use), Anti Wheelie, quickshifter, Cruise Control, ABS, as well as an engine brake.
The instrument cluster uses a full-color 5-inch TFT that can be connected to a smartphone for navigation. This sportbike also contains various electronics controlled by the inertial measurement unit (IMU).
Both suspensions are supported by KYB, while The front uses an upside-down with a diameter of 41 mm and an adjustable rear monoshock. Aprilia packed dual discs at the front and a single disc at the rear equipped with Brembo calipers for braking.
