New Balance has teamed up with Emmy-nominated actress and producer Storm Reid to launch the CT302 sneaker, a signature shoe inspired by the vibrant city of Atlanta and Reid’s personal journey growing up there. The collaboration is set to release on August 4, 2023.
A Milestone for Storm Reid and New Balance
Storm Reid, who has been a New Balance brand ambassador since October 2021, marks her first sneaker launch with the company through this collaboration. The partnership aims to amplify Reid’s influential voice in the industry, focusing on themes of representation, self-expression, and empowerment.
A Nod to Atlanta’s Culture and Reid’s Roots
The campaign draws from the cultural richness of Atlanta in the early 2000s, celebrating its significance and Reid’s own coming-of-age experiences in the city. “This campaign is reminiscent of my childhood growing up in Atlanta,” says Storm Reid. “I am so grateful to the team at New Balance for their collaboration in designing this shoe and for creating a campaign that represents my roots and the culture of my hometown.”
