OnePlus has finally unveiled its first smartwatch, the OnePlus Watch. The gadget manufacturer ensures that the design is no less premium than other smartwatch products on the market.
Design
OnePlus Watch comes with a case made of 316L stainless steel. The diameter is 46 mm with 10.9 mm thickness and weighs 45 grams – 76 grams with the rubber strap.
The straps are easily removable, and OnePlus says the smartwatch is compatible with many standard-size straps on the market. In addition to having IP68 certification, the OnePlus Watch is also capable of diving to a maximum depth of 50 meters.
On the display, the touch screen size is 1.39-inch AMOLED with a resolution of 454 x 454 pixels (326 ppi).
Features
The OnePlus Watch can automatically detect about 110 different physical exercise types, including running or cycling, considering that it is equipped with integrated GPS.
Heart-rate monitoring and SpO2 tracking are also supported, and all data can be accessed through the OnePlus Health app.
One unique feature is its ability to be a smart remote control for the OnePlus TV since it can turn down the TV volume by itself when there is an incoming phone call, and even turn off the TV if the user accidentally falls asleep.
Specs
The smartwatch is equipped with a storage capacity of 4 GB, and 2 GB of which can be used to store a collection of data. Because it also packs a microphone as well as a speaker, the OnePlus Watch can also be used to receive incoming phone calls.
Another thing that OnePlus is very proud of is battery life. On a single charge, the OnePlus Watch is claimed to last up to about 14 days of everyday use. Meanwhile, when the GPS feature is active, the battery life will drop to around 25 hours.
Price and Availability
The OnePlus Watch is scheduled to go on sale from April 14 at a price of $ 159. Any potential customer will need to be satisfied with one color option of Midnight Black.
