The all-wheel-drive 911 Carrera 4 and 911 Carrera 4 Cabriolet models are presented by Porsche with a twin-turbo 3.0-liter flat-six engine fitted and model-specific turbochargers. The accelerate of 2020 911 Carrera 4 is from 0 to 100 km/h in 4.2 seconds that fits with the standard 8-speed PDK (Porsche Doppelkupplung) transmission with 291 km/h of the top track speed. While the 2020 911 Carrera 4 Cabriolet accelerates to 100 km/h in just 4.4 seconds with 289 km/h of top track speed.
Further development can be found on the 911 Carrera 4 models such as water-cooled clutch and differential unit, the latter’s adjustment accuracy improvement by the increased actuating torques at the clutch. An increase in traction on snow, in wet, dry conditions come from the combination of enhanced front axle drive with Porsche Traction Management (PTM). Both models are equipped with PASM (Porsche Active Suspension Management), featured with a staggering diameter of the wheels and Wet Mode.
The 911 Carrera 4 models have clearly defined fender arches and front luggage compartment lid with a recess reminiscent of classic 911 models. The only visual distinction between these two models is the exhaust openings in the rear fascia. And for the engine variants, 911 Carrera 4 models feature one rectangular, single-tube tailpipe on each side while a set of round twin-tailpipes on each side can be found on the 4S models. The optional system like Sport Exhaust can be ordered too fro all models, distinguished by two oval tailpipes.
