Porsche, the renowned German automaker, is celebrating the 60th anniversary of its iconic 911 sports car with a special edition of the vehicle, the new 911 S/T. To mark this milestone, Porsche Lifestyle Group has teamed up with global sports company Puma to release two limited edition sneaker models. The exclusive pre-sale will kick off on September 5 at the Porsche pop-up store at the IAA Mobility in Munich.
A Strong Profile for Every Appearance
The limited edition sneakers are designed to reflect the rich history of the Porsche 911. The Retro Sneaker and the Heritage Sneaker are not only limited in number but are also individually numbered, making each pair unique. The Retro Sneaker draws inspiration from the classic narrow and flat silhouette of the 1972 Porsche 911 S 2.5. It features a Light Blue color scheme, reminiscent of the historic vehicle’s exterior, and bears the starting number 56 on the heel.
Back to the Future
The Heritage Sneaker, on the other hand, is inspired by the new Porsche 911 S/T. It features a modern, sporty silhouette and a gray hue that matches the anniversary car’s exterior. The shoe lining picks up the cognac-brown tone of the interior, and the starting number 63 is positioned on the heel to commemorate the year the Porsche 911 was born.
Unique Features and Availability
Both sneaker models come with a red lace for the left shoe and a black one for the right shoe, with a second lace in each of the two colors included in the box. The sneakers will be available to order from September 6 at shop.porsche.com, the Porsche Museum store in Stuttgart-Zuffenhausen, and Porsche factory stores in Zuffenhausen and Weissach. North American customers can order from puma.com starting September 14, while European customers can do so from September 24.
