The flagship brand, Sennheiser, has recently come out with another high-quality audiophile in-ear headphone called the IE 900.
As a successor to the IE 800, the IE 900 is prepared with the best design designs and advanced audio technology from Sennheiser.
Features
The IE900 comes with an aluminum body frame that carries a very three-chamber sound-absorbing feature that’s useful for removing the masking effect in the headphone.
This T3CA three-chamber system was first introduced in the IE 800 earphones. Inside, the three different chambers have their respective functions.
Not only does the IE900 come with an innovative design, but it is also combined with the X3R transducer, an enhanced version of the 7mm Extra Wide Tire transducer.
This enhanced version of the earphone and the dynamic transducer ensures optimal sound quality that is distortion-free, naturalistic, and well-balanced regardless of the selected playback volume.
Along with that, Sennheiser also developed a new diaphragm foil intended to ultimately achieve a frequency response of 5 Hz to 48,000 Hz and a THD value of only 0.05% at 94 dB at a frequency of one kHz.
In terms of comfort, Sennheiser focuses primarily on flexibility. For example, the MMCX Fidelity Plus connector allows the IE 900 to have the most cable-free options to use.
The cables included have a gold-plated plug that pushes deep into the headphone case. Meanwhile, silicone ear hooks and earphones are built on adjustable memory foam to ensure their comfort.
Price & Availability
As of right now, the Sennheiser IE900 is still in the production stage. It is expected to be available in August 2021. For the price, the IE900 most likely ranges at around $1,299.
